The Pamban Rail Bridge has for long stood as a testament to India's rich architectural history. The Palakkad branch of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is among the latest additions to the 23 IITs across India. It is the largest ongoing Government project (CPWD) in Kerala, which is set to be completed in two stages. The first stage is the construction of the hostel blocks and the second will see the making of the academic blocks. The project to build the hostel blocks was completed by the 2018-19 financial year and Berger Paints India Limited worked extensively on the project. The academic block is under construction now and the work is being executed by Shapoorji Pallonji And Company Private Limited (SPCL) and Sharma Construction as well as Team Age Construction are their subcontractors. The second phase has an interior area of around 2.5 lakh square meters and an exterior area of 1.5 lakh square meters. Berger Paints India Limited finalized this project with our Platina Rangoli Total Care Emulsion as the topcoat after a layer of our Bison Putty and BP White Primer in the interior. In addition to this, we also recommended Weather Coat Tartaruga as an exterior top coat over the seal primer base coat to offer an enhanced look and protection to the structures.
