With International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, 2019, we begin our series of interviews celebrating inspirational women by talking to Arunika Sarkar. We caught up with her to discuss what she thinks about being a woman in the field of design. We hope you enjoy this tête-à-tête!

Berger Paints India: What inspires you to think creatively and fuels you to ‘paint your imagination’? (Paint your imagination is Berger Paints’ tagline).

My life is a canvas on which God has painted generously. Looking at my life closely would somewhat be like looking through a prism, where one beam of white light disperses into the colours of the rainbow. Yes, that many colours have sparkled through my ordinary life and made it an extraordinary blessed journey.

Whether you are repainting a piece of wooden furniture or painting new furniture, wood that will be painted must be cleaned, sanded and primed. As with any project, proper prep work determines the success of the project. Before beginning, do some research and make a comprehensive plan.

As a practising astrologer, I am often asked a variety of questions related to astrology, with one of the most pertinent ones being about the relation between astrology and gem therapy.
